Good news for British tourism

Figures released from the International Passenger Survey show that
2.89 million foreign tourists visited Britain in June this year, 9% up
on June 2010. A spokesperson for VisitBritain, our national tourist
board, said "not only are we seeing overall visitor numbers and
expenditure at their highest ever level for June, but international
visits to the UK in the first half of the year are 6% above the same period last year".
This is good news for UK residents who enjoy staying in our hotels
because healthy business levels means plenty of investment in the
facilities and staff, raising quality standards even higher.
